Jamaica began their Gold Cup campaign with a contented 4-0 win over unfenced Grenada at California's Home Depot Centre. Having scored only once in the three matches in the last Gold Cup two years ago, Jamaica went into the game with Coach Theodore Whitmore vocation for a more ruthless edge in front of goal.
They had plenty of probability against Grenada and establish the net after 21 minutes when Luton Shelton deftly slit home Rudolph Austin's pass. It was 2-0 after 39 minutes, Ryan Johnson convert Dane Richards' pinpoint release. Demar Phillips and Omar Daley added to the tally in the final 11 minutes.
