Mahela Jayawardene and Gautam Gambhir were both fined for uphold slow over rates during Thursday's IPL match between the two sides. At the end of the match, both teams were charge to be one over behind the required rate after payment were taken into consideration, an IPL release said.
Since it was the first offence of the season for either side, under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to bare minimum over-rate offences, the individual captains - Mahela (KTK) and Gambhir (KKR) - were each fined $ US 20,000.
