McDowell slide down world rankings

Graeme McDowell's 30th place at the Saab Wales Open has cost him three spots on the world rankings. Next week's US Open defensive champion falls to eighth, with monument winner Steve Stricker, runner-up Matt Kuchar and fifth-placed Rory McIlroy all going ahead of him.

Padraig Harrington, who returns from a knee injury in Memphis this week, has fall outside the top 50 for the first time since 1999, while Celtic Manor winner Alex Noren has risen from 127th to 80th. Latest leading location in the world golf rankings:
