David Nalbandian came from a set down to win his first-round match in the Stockholm Open. The 29-year-old Argentinian lost the first set of his match against Xavier Malisse 4-6 but bounce back to win the next two sets in the tie-break 7-6 (8/6 and 7/3) to book his place in the second round.
James Blake of the United States had it easier in defeat Belgium's Olivier Rochus 7-6 (8/6) 6-3, while Germany's Tobias Kamke saw off Spain's Tommy Robredo 6-2 6-3. Russia's Dimitry Tursunov was one more straight-sets winner, defeating Spain's Albert Ramos 7-6 (7/5) 6-4.
Finland's Jarkko Nieminen ousted Romania's Marius Copil 6-3 7-6 (7/4), Croatia's Ivan Dodig knock out France's Adrian Mannarino 7-6 (7/5) 7-6 (8/6) and South Africa's Kevin Anderson beat Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 7-6 (7/1) 7-6 (7/4).
Canada's Milan Raonic won the last match to finish, considering off Marcos Baghdatis in a match which last two hours and 22 minutes. Raonic won the first set 7-6 (7/5) but the Cypriot levelled the match by delightful the second set 7-6 (7/4). However, Raonic finished strongest to see out the rivalry 6-4 and book his place in the second round.
