John Terry: We will excavate deep again

John Terry believes England's knack of living up to expectations away from home when needed most will help ensure qualification for the Euro 2012 finals against Montenegro. England needs only a point to ensure they protected a spot in Poland and Ukraine next summer.
It has brought back memories for Terry of England subsequent eight years ago when drawing with Turkey in Istanbul to ensure they reached Euro 2004 in Portugal, and he is positive of a similar outcome.
Terry said:It all went off that night. It was most likely one of the most hostile places I've played in.It was a big juncture for me at the time. But, when the chips were alongside us a bit and we needed to dig deep, we did. We tend to do that at times.
It's going to be aggressive again but we're playing well at the instant and if we can uphold that form, particularly away from home where we've been chiefly good, we'll be okay. This is a big occasion for us all, not only had the younger players in the squad but the more experienced ones as well.
I think that's where we tend to come into our own a bit. We'll be looking for big voices in the dressing room as always and a big appearance from us.Terry wants to erase the memory of being sidelined for the climax of England's last European finals campaign by leading them into the finals.
He was ruled out of the unsatisfactory finale of the 2008 qualifying movement with a knee injury as England lost 3-2 at home to Croatia and failed to go through. He said:It was overwhelming to be assembly there and to miss the Croatia game. I could have opted for injection.
