Boxing: Tommy Gilmour anxiety for Kris Carslaw

Posted by Admin On 10:18 AM

Top Scottish boxing manager Tommy Gilmour uttered concern about Kris Carslaw's future. This came after the Paisley fighter suffer the second broken jaw of his career in his defeat by Matthew Hall on Friday night.

Gilmour plans to meet with another of his fighters, Willie Limond, to discuss the 32-year-old's future after he lost his British frivolous title confront to Anthony Crolla on the same bill at the Ravenscraig Sports Centre in Motherwell.

However, with Limond's rank made and intact, Gilmour is worried more about 27-year-old Carslaw whose victorious record ended earlier in the night when Mancunian Hall beat him in their official eliminator for the British light-middleweight title.

I am much more concerned about Kris's injuries than Willie's injuries, said Gilmour Willie got a broken heart.”But that is the second broken jaw that Kris has had and that is a distress. He also has a broken hand.

We know he has the courage to come back, he came back the last time but this is a dissimilar level. You have important hand guys like the guy he fought on Friday night, Matthew Hall.He got caught with his mouth open slightly and that's what caused the injure.
